This Privacy Policy governs the use of the Astrology by OMBRUJA app, the associated website at ombruja.com, and all associated tools and services. Last updated: April 27, 2025.
OMBRUJA LLC, a New York limited liability company, operates the Services. This policy is part of the OMBRUJA Terms of Service at ombruja.com/pages/tos, which is incorporated into this document by reference. The Services do not include outside websites or platforms which may be linked or interconnected to the Services — such platforms have their own terms and policies.
Blockchain technology is at the core of our business. Blockchains are decentralized and made up of digitally recorded data in a chain of packages called "blocks." By design, a blockchain's records cannot be changed or deleted and are said to be "immutable." This may affect your ability to exercise certain rights such as your right to erasure. Data on the blockchain cannot be erased or changed. If you want to ensure your privacy rights are not affected in any way, you should not transact on blockchains as certain rights may not be fully available or exercisable due to the technological infrastructure. The blockchain is available to the public and any personal data shared on the blockchain will become publicly available.
As per our Terms of Service, individuals under the age of 16 are not permitted to use the Services. We do not knowingly collect, solicit or maintain personal data from anyone under the age of 16. If we learn that we have collected personal data from an individual under 16, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to delete that information. Note that we cannot delete information stored on public cryptographic blockchains.
We collect content, communications and other information you provide when you use our Services, including when you create an account, initiate use of the Services, create or share content, and message or communicate with others. This may include: Name, Address, Email, Phone Number, SSN (or equivalent), Financial Information, Date of Birth, Citizenship, and Payment Information. We may also collect information to verify your identity (such as a driver's license or passport), financial information needed to process payments, and information about how you use our Services including the types of content you view, features you use, actions you take, and the time, frequency, and duration of your activities.
We, and our partners, use cookies and similar technologies to give you the best possible content and experience. Cookies are used to remember you and to collect information about how you interact with the Services. If you have an account with the Services, we may link this usage data with other information. You may have the option to accept or refuse these cookies. If you choose to refuse, you may not be able to use some portions of the Services.
We collect information from and about the computers, phones, and other web-connected devices you use that interact with our Services. This includes device attributes (operating system, hardware and software versions, browser type), device operations, unique identifiers and device IDs, data from device settings (such as GPS location, camera or photos), network and connection information (mobile operator, IP address, connection speed), and cookie data. The Services use Google Analytics to gather information about how users use the Services.
When using the Services, we may collect and process personal data stored in different instances. On the Blockchain the following data may be stored: addresses of externally owned accounts, transactions made, and token balances. This data will become public and will not likely be possible to delete or change. In our web servers, we store addresses of externally owned accounts, transactions made, IP addresses, and transaction IDs/hashes.
We use the information we have to deliver and personalize our Services, conduct product research and development, provide measurement and analytics, promote safety and security, and communicate with you about our Services, policies and terms. We use Google Analytics only to improve the Services. Because recognition of the Do Not Track HTTP header is not standardized, the Services do not recognize it for tracking purposes.
Third parties may collect or receive certain information about you and your use of the Services. These third parties include: AWS, AstrologyAPI, Cloudflare, Coinbase, Farcaster, Google, Neynar, OpenSea, Privy, Segment, Sentry.io, Twitter, Vercel, and WalletConnect. You may opt out of certain personalized advertising by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative and Digital Advertising Alliance websites, or if in the European Economic Area, Your Online Choices. We adhere to the Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Behavioral Advertising.
The Services may keep the information we gather about you for an unlimited length of time. To request that information collected about you be deleted, please contact us at the email provided in this policy. A valid request must include sufficient information to identify your personal data. Note that we cannot delete information stored on public cryptographic blockchains.
We only share information about you with others as follows: with service providers who assist in the administration of the Services and our marketing efforts, identity verification, data analytics, and payment processing; with third parties in the event of a business combination, merger, or asset sale; with governmental authorities when required by law; and to detect or protect against fraud or security issues. Any third party with whom we share your data will be required to provide the same or equal protection of such data as stated in this Privacy Policy. We routinely share information with our affiliates for certain purposes under this policy.
If you wish to stop receiving marketing or promotional communications or to opt out of use of your information, please follow the opt-out instructions in those communications or contact us at support@ombruja.com. Despite your indicated email preferences, we may send you service-related communications including notices of updates to our terms or this policy. You will not be allowed to opt out of communications required to comply with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered, or disclosed. We limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and third parties who have a business need to know. We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where legally required.
We comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act in our role as a "service provider." We will not sell personal information collected from California consumers, retain or disclose such information for any purpose other than performing the Services, or use such information outside of our direct business relationship. Both you and the operator agree to limit use of personal information to that reasonably necessary and proportionate to achieve the purposes of the Terms of Service. Of the categories of personal information collected (identifiers, protected classification information, commercial information, Internet/electronic activity, geolocation, and similar), the operator has not sold or disclosed any such data within the last 12 months. To request access or changes to previously submitted information, please contact us at the address below.
Data collected through the Services is stored in the United States via Amazon Web Services, which is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield. As a data subject under GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679), you have the following rights: right to information and access; right to rectification; right to erasure (subject to blockchain limitations); right to restrict processing; right to data portability; right to object to automated decision-making; and right to opt out of direct marketing. Note that when interacting with the blockchain, we may not be able to fully enforce your right to erasure or restriction of processing, as the blockchain is a global decentralized public network. To exercise any of these rights or to raise a complaint, contact us at support@ombruja.com. If you feel your concern has not been addressed satisfactorily, you may contact the Information Commissioner's Office in your jurisdiction.
The Services may change this privacy policy at any time. Check this page for the latest version.
